Some of the features of the direct-pay Arkansas BCBS health plans for individuals and families include:
- There is separate rate scales for in-network and out-of-network, but you have the flexibility to use doctors and facilities near you.
- You have a choice of deductibles.
- After the deductible is met, you pay 20% of all costs.
- Maternity coverage may be purchased separately.
- You m ust meet a deductible before benefiting from prescription drug co-pays on most plans.
- Preventive care and immunizations are offered with the deductible waived.
Individual plans include a $250 deductible, $500 deductible, $1,000 deductible, $1,500 deductible, and $2,500 deductible plan. Arkansas BCBS also offers a high deductible plan for use with a health savings account and a short-term coverage plan. All plans are limited to residents of Arkansas who are not eligible for Medicare.
