• Community Blue Family Health Plus: This plan is for adults who are limited financially but are not eligible for Medicaid. It is offered through cooperation with the New York Department of Health, and includes comprehensive medical coverage, with hospitalization, lab tests/x-rays and vision services included at little or no cost.
• Child Health Plus (CHP): This is a state-sponsored plan, and provides children under 19 who live in Western New York state with quality insurance. Regardless of income, children are provided with comprehensive medical coverage.
• Healthy New York: This is similar to the Family Health Plan, but serves those who are living with incomes below the federal poverty limit. For hospitalization, a $500 co-pay is in effect, while emergency room visits cost $50 (unless admitted, in which case this cost is waived). Office visits are also covered with a small copay.
