QualChoice is a Cleveland-based medical insurance provider that serviced employer, Medicare, and Medicaid health plans for the area. On September 1, 2006, their Medicaid Select plan was sold to Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield. On December 31, 2006, their business and Medicare plans were discontinued. QualChoice is still administering any services provided while the company was covering these plans.
The Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield Company is an affiliate of the publicly traded WellPoint Company, which is part of the Blue Cross/Blue Shield Association. These companies all together offer some form of low cost health insurance coverage in all states of the union.
